High school football coaches want players who are dedicated, smart and leaders. They don’t get much better than Venice High’s Jonathan McNeal, a senior linebacker-tight end who never leaves the field.
Coach Angelo Gasca has been raving about him, so I went to Venice earlier this week, shot a video and learned that all the talk about McNeal is true. He’s one of nine children and loves his community.
He gets to face Oaks Christian on Friday night at Venice, and you can be certain he’s going to play hard and try to get his teammates to do the same.
