Santa Ana Mater Dei took the ball from its own 20 and drove to the Edison 13, but the Monarchs missed on a 35-yard field goal.
Edison, which was so good at making firm tackles last week against Servite, missed a tackle on the opening play, a reverse, and there were more misses during Mater Dei’s opening drive. The absence of middle linebacker Jordan Zumwalt (broken hand) could be a key factor in this game.
