Last weekend’s rain storms badly diminished attendance at the City Section Division I and II championship football games.

The City Division I final at the Coliseum between Crenshaw and Narbonne drew a paid attendance of 2,660, one of the smallest crowds in years.

The City Division II final between El Camino Real and Hamilton at East Los Angeles College drew 1,000.

That’s not good news in a time of budget cuts when the Los Angeles Unified School District needs revenue from anywhere it can get it.

The Southern Section Pac-5 Division final between Servite and Edison drew 11,860.
