In the championship game of the Lerner bracket in the Newport Elks tournament, Orange Lutheran has a 1-0 lead over La Puente Bishop Amat going into the bottom of the third inning.

Bobby Wheatley of Orange Lutheran has retired nine of the 10 batters he has faced. Andre Real had a first-inning RBI single for the Lancers.

Both teams are 4-0.

UPDATE: Orange Lutheran leads, 9-3, after five innings. Wheatley gave up two hits in five innings with four walks and three strikeouts.
