New Los Angeles Loyola football Coach Mike Christensen is close to finalizing his coaching staff. He has brought along Kevin Nickerson from Carson to be his offensive coordinator and will be bringing back several ex-Steve Grady assistants to coach varsity. Christensen will be the team’s defensive coordinator.

Adam Guerra, the Cubs’ interim coach last season, will take over as the sophomore head coach. Christensen is going to find out quickly what kind of skill-position players he has at Loyola, because the Cubs have entered the Dana Hills passing tournament in June that includes Santa Ana Mater Dei, Anaheim Servite, Huntington Beach Edison and Long Beach Poly.
