Football: USC getting a walk-on QB with a story

Anthony Neyer, a 6-foot-3 quarterback who used to be a wide receiver for an eight-man football team, is headed to USC as a preferred walk-on.
Neyer played last season for Xavier Prep, a relatively new school in Palm Desert. He got quarterback lessons from private coach Steve Clarkson.
