Softball: Junior women’s national team has been announced

The 2010-2011 USA softball junior women’s national team was announced Tuesday.

Ten of the 17 selectees are from California, including Lauren Chamberlain, Cheyenne Cordes, Ally Carda, Amber Freeman, Chelsea Goodacre, Kylee Lahners, Destinee Martinez, Madison Shipman, Cheyanne Tarango and Hallie Wilson.

The team will play later this summer at the 18-and-under Pan American Softball Championship on August 6-15 in Bogota, Colombia.
