I’ve said for months that the receiver position is the strongest individual position in Southern California this season, and even more top receivers keep emerging.
Taylor Lagace from Arcadia is a junior receiver-free safety who made 13 receptions for 156 yards against La Canada St. Francis. He also had two interceptions, returning one for a 32-yard touchdown.
Then there’s junior receiver Richard Smith from Long Beach Poly. Jackrabbits fans are not embellishing when they compare him to former Poly great DeSean Jackson. Smith is that kind of a big-play weapon.
And how can recruiters not be impressed with Gardena Serra senior Marqise Lee, who keeps showing speed, hands and big-play skills.
