Things aren’t getting any better for Mater Dei.

The Monarchs opened the second half getting into the red zone, but quarterback Max Wittek couldn’t connect to wide receiver Victor Blackwell on fourth-and-seven with on Corona Centennial’s 16-yard line.

It appeared the Monarchs would hold the Huskies to a three-and-out on the next possession, but Mater Dei was given a penalty for roughing the kicker. The Huskies maintain a 37-0 lead with 4:40 left in the third quarter.
