Los Angeles Loyola, inspired by a loud home crowd, used full-court pressure and solid defense to open a 19-12 lead after the first quarter of its Mission League showdown with North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake.
It’s a game matching the No. 1 team in Division 1A (Loyola) and the No. 1 team in Division 3A (Harvard-Westlake).
What helped the Cubs most is that Harvard-Westlake’s two big men, 6-8 Zena Edosoman and 6-7 Damiene Cain, were limited to two points combined in the quarter.
