Girls’ basketball: Mater Dei up 50-38 after three quarters

Santa Ana Mater Dei is eight minutes away from winning its biggest game of the season.

Brea Olinda pulled to within eight points in the third quarter but the Monarchs have pushed the lead back to double digits entering the fourth quarter.

Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis has 13 points to lead Mater Dei, the No. 1-ranked team in the nation.

Both teams are trying to win their third straight section title.
