Boys’ basketball: Long Beach Poly off to fast start

The game is only two minutes old but Long Beach Poly has landed the first punch in the Division 1AA championship game, sprinting to a 8-0 lead over Corona Centennial in a showdown between Southern Calfornia heavyweights.

So far, the Jackrabbits have had little trouble with the Huskies’ full-court press, beating it with quick passes that have led to easy layups. Centennial has called timeout to regroup.
