Boys’ basketball: La Verne Lutheran earns trip to Sacramento

Grant Jerrett, a 6-foot-9 junior committed to Arizona, was too big and too tough, leading La Verne Lutheran to a 57-47 victory over top-seeded La Canada in the Division III regional final.
La Canada led by three points at halftime but started to have trouble scoring in the third quarter. Lutheran showed great patience and played tough defense throughout.
