Girls’ basketball: Mater Dei is headed to Sacramento

The Mater Dei girls’ basketball team came away with a 59-44 victory over Canyon Springs in the Division I girls’ regional final.
Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis, the Gatorade national player of the year, scored 23 points and had eight rebounds. Alexyz Vaioletama added 17 points.
Mater Dei will face Berkeley in Saturday’s final in Sacramento. Berkeley defeated Concord Carondelet, 68-57.
