On Sundays this summer, I’m presenting my favorite videos from those I’ve shot over the last three years and telling the back story.
Los Angeles Windward had just won the state Division IV boys’ basketball championship in March. Coach Miguel Villegas was in the media room answering questions and became emotional when discussing an ex-player, Daniel Tan, who had died recently.
Suddenly, reporters were watching a coach speak from his heart how Tan’s fight with an illness had provided inspiration.
