Football: The lesson is to have a backup holder ready

When Mission Hills Alemany scored a touchdown late in its game against Dorsey, the Warriors pulled to within 13-12. They needed a conversion kick to tie the game.
But the team’s regular holder, quarterback Devon Dunn, was knocked out of the game with a concussion. The Warriors took two timeouts looking for a backup holder.
‘We have a backup holder,’ Coach Dean Herrington said. ‘We just didn’t work with him.’
They ended up going for two points and failed.
On Monday, Herrington started working with a backup holder.
