There’s only a couple weeks left in the high school days for San Clemente quarterback Travis Wilson, who intends to graduate early and enroll at Utah next month so he’ll be able to compete in spring practice.
Wilson’s final high school game is set for Saturday night in the Pac-5 Divison championship game against Santa Margarita at Angel Stadium.
Wilson is one of the most versatile athletes in Southern California. Because he is leaving early, he won’t be playing volleyball this spring for San Clemente. But he is taking his snowboard with him to Utah.
He should become the latest Orange County quarterback to start in the Pac-12 one day, joining the likes of Matt Barkley, Mark Sanchez and Carson Palmer.
