Boys’ basketball: Calabasas wins Marmonte League championship

Jeremy Lieberman scored 26 points and Josh Cohan had 15 points and 10 rebounds to help Calabasas (23-3, 13-1) pull out a 65-61 overtime victory over Westlake to win the Marmonte League championship.
Grant Lozoya, who finished with 24 points, sent the game into overtime for Westlake by making a 35-foot shot at the buzzer in regulation. Royal set a school record with its 20th win of the season, 78-55 over Agoura. JR Powell made seven three-pointers and finished with 24 points.
In the Alpha League, L.A. Windward earned a share of the league title after a 75-71 overtime victory over Pacific Hills. Nicholas Stover scored 32 points and had 13 rebounds. Brandon Taylor scored 27 points for Pacific Hills, the co-champs. Brentwood came away with a 77-74 win over Sierra Canyon.
Daniel Hamilton scored 18 points and Isaac Hamilton 14 as Bellflower St. John Bosco defeated Orange Lutheran, 59-57, to finish in second place in the Trinity League. Gabe York scored 24 points for Orange Lutheran. Mater Dei defeated JSerra, 72-43. Xavier Johnson scored 21 points and Katin Reinhardt 17.
In the South Coast League, Mission Viejo earned a share of the title with Capistrano Valley after beating the Cougars, 72-57.
Etiwanda (25-1, 10-0) wrapped up an unbeaten Baseline League season with a 70-64 win over Rancho Cucamonga. Dominique Walker had 19 pooints and Jordan McLaughlin 17.
La Verne Damien (24-2, 10-0) defeated Ayala, 66-51. Junior Jared Dizon had 20 points and Chris Reyes added 14. In the Moore League, Roschon Prince scored 20 points in Long Beach Poly’s 75-62 win over Long Beach Jordan.
Santa Monica (18-8, 9-1) won the Ocean League title with a 71-37 win over Hawthorne. In the Pacific League, Pasadena defeated Muir, 71-53.
