El Camino Real, Palisades try to earn City Section some respect

El Camino Real in Division II boys and Palisades in Division II girls each won their first-round game of the Southern California Regionals, giving some respect for the City Section.
Palisades defeated Norco, 54-35, with Donae Moguel scoring 13 points and getting 16 rebounds. El Camino Real knocked off Colony, 71-63.
City Section schools have not performed well other than in Division I in the state playoffs. Both schools have tough tests on Saturday.
El Camino Real faces top-seeded La Costa Canyon. Palisades plays Mark Keppel.
Also, in Division III, Bell won its opener, 54-52, over Visalia Mt. Whitney. Chatsworth had success in Division III last season.
