Football: August is a dangerous month for prep athletes

From 1980 to 2009, 58 high school football players died from heat-related illnesses, mostly in August, according a study published in the International Journal of Biometeorology and reported in a story by The Daily Climate.
That makes this month a dangerous one and serves as a warning to coaches to make sure their players receive as many water breaks as possible.
