Baseball: Junior outfielder Joey Sanchez of Orange Lutheran commits

Joey Sanchez, a junior outfielder at Orange Lutheran who was the team’s No. 1 player on junior varsity last season, has committed to Long Beach State.

He’ll enter this spring as a highly regarded player with a 3.8 grade-point average and lots of potential, according to Coach Eric Borba.
