Boys’ volleyball: Palisades takes on Granada Hills in Division I final

The two most dominant boys’ volleyball programs in the City Section, Palisades and Granada Hills, face off on Saturday at 5 p.m. at Los Angeles Roybal in the City Section Division I championship match. It’s the third consecutive year the two schools have met in the final.
Palisades, under first-year Coach Randy Stoklos, owns a win over Granada Hills earlier this season. The Dolphins are the defending champions and are led by 6-foot-4 Grant Pugatch. They’ve won 12 City titles. Granada Hills, under veteran Coach Tom Harp, have been known to avenge defeats from earlier in the season. The Highlanders are bidding for their sixth title.
The Division II final will match Venice against Eagle Rock at 2:30 p.m. The Division III final has Northridge Academy against LACES at noon.
