MCA combined record and music-publishing groups.
Calling it a “streamlining” move, the company said that its MCA Records Group has been expanded to include MCA Music Publishing operations. The consolidated operations, to be known as the MCA Records & Music Group, will be led by MCA Vice President Irving Azoff, who was president of MCA Records Group.
