Andrea Booth and Jennifer Waterhouse Porter have been appointed business manager and development director of the Pasadena Symphony Orchestra Assn. The women will replace Dori Barnes, business manager and acting executive director who is retiring after 20 years with the organization.

Booth, a lifelong resident of the city, previously worked for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Harvard School in Los Angeles. She holds a master’s degree in arts management and marketing from UCLA.

Porter, 31, recently returned to her native town from Cambridge, Mass., where she held marketing and fund-raising positions with the Harvard Business School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Environmental Engineering Inc. She earned a master’s degree in management from Lesley College Graduate School. Porter is a fourth generation Pasadenan; her great-grandfather, William Waterhouse, once served as mayor and was founder of Pasadena Waterworks.
