Local News in Brief : Sunland Woman Dies of Car Crash Injuries
A 55-year-old Sunland woman died in a Bakersfield hospital Wednesday from injuries she suffered three weeks ago in an automobile accident, a spokesman for the California Highway Patrol said.
Darlene Krueger was a passenger in a car driven by her husband, Richard Krueger, 58, when it was hit broadside as it pulled away from a stop sign into the path of a car in Bakersfield, said CHP officer W. T. Corrigan.
Corrigan said no charges were filed against the driver of the other car, who was identified as James Lindsey, 47, of Edison. Lindsey was not injured in the crash.
A spokeswoman for Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield said Richard Krueger was treated for multiple injuries and released several days later.
