A transient sleeping beneath a parked truck died early Monday when the driver of the truck pulled his rig out of a downtown parking lot and ran over the man. Deputy Coroner George Dickason said the driver left the 6th Avenue lot apparently unaware that he had run over anyone. The victim, 50 to 60 years old with gray hair and a gray beard, was dressed in tattered clothing and carried no identification, Dickason said.
