GM Recalling 225,000 Cars to Test Smog Device

WASHINGTON — General Motors Corp. is recalling 225,000 of its 1981 and 1982 cars with V-6 engines to repair possible defects in their catalytic converters that may cause a loss of power, the government said Thursday.
The models affected are the Buick Electra, LeSabre and Riviera; Cadillac DeVille, Fleetwood Brougham, Eldorado and Seville; Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight and Toronado; and Pontiac Bonneville, Bonneville Wagon and Grand Prix.
