A Romanian immigrant couple, their baby and a teen-age relative were killed in Lucerne Valley when the top of their car was sheered off by a Jeep operated by a suspected drunk driver, the California Highway Patrol said. Officer Jim Roden identified the victims as David Usvat, 16; Viorel Doroscan, 28; his wife Mihaela, 25, and their 14-month-old son, Veniamin. The Jeep’s driver, Denise Ann McDaniel, 28, of Victorville, suddenly veered in the same direction and drove over the top of the car.
