Warner Amex said it may sell its Dallas system.
Ken Lerer, a Warner Amex Cable Communications vice president, said the company has received unsolicited offers but declined to identify the parties interested in the Dallas cable-TV system. Lerer said the company (jointly owned by Warner Communications and American Express) has not made a final determination to sell. Warner Amex has lost about 54 million in the last two years in Dallas, and Lerer said loses are expected to exceed $30 million this year.
