Four in Houston Family Found Slain in Ransacked Home
HOUSTON — Four members of a family were found slain Friday at their ransacked home here, police said.
The bodies of Henry Lewis Sr., 42; his wife, Mary, 42; and their sons, Henry Jr., 22, and Byron, 13, were discovered by another son, Reginald, 20, when he returned home early Friday, police Sgt. J. C. Mosier said.
The mother and her two sons had been shot at close range and the father possibly had been shot and stabbed before his body was set on fire.
There were no signs of a forced entry into the southwest Houston home, which was ransacked, Mosier said. Police said the family either let the assailant in or perhaps left the house unlocked. No motive for the slayings had been determined.
