Two Builders to Be Honored as ‘Men of Steel’
Two well known general contractors--Morley Benjamin of Morley Construction and Robert M. Holmes of Oltmans Construction--will be honored Thursday by the Los Angeles chapter, Building Industry Assn. of Southern California as “Men of Steel” for their years of service to the community and the industry.
Benjamin, president and chief executive officer of Morley, began his firm in 1947 and has built more than 300 major projects in the Southland, while Holmes, chief executive officer and president of Oltmans, heads one of the top five commercial construction firms in California.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the Westwood Plaza Hotel (Holiday Inn), 10740 Wilshire Blvd. The cost is $22 a person and reservation information may be obtained at the chapter office, 1571 Beverly Blvd.
