Three hikers who spent an unplanned overnight in the chilly Angeles National Forest were rescued in Monkey Canyon, sheriff’s deputies said. “The three hikers escorted out of the canyon . . . were in good condition and elected to go home,” Deputy David Hogan said. Pat McGowan and Sue Seling, both 26, and 12-year-old Chris Rhodes, all of North Hollywood, began their trek Sunday morning at Hidden Springs, planning to hike to a scenic waterfall and return by nightfall, Los Angeles County sheriff’s Deputy Lynda Edmonds said. They were reported missing by Rhodes’ father.
