Trial of Gov. Edwards Set to Begin April 22

NEW ORLEANS — The federal racketeering trial of Gov. Edwin Edwards and six co-defendants is scheduled to begin April 22, court officials said Monday.
The date was set by U.S. District Judge Marcel Livaudais Jr., who will preside over the trial.
