Titan Wrestler Coates Loses in NCAA Meet

Cal State Fullerton wrestler Dan Coates lost to John Heropoulos of Iowa State, 10-2, in the opening session of the NCAA Division 1 Wrestling Championships Thursday in Oklahoma City.

Coates, who became the first Titan wrestler in three years to win a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. title with a championship in the 190-pound division, will compete in the consolation bracket if Heropoulos reaches the championship semifinals.
