TreeSweet will buy two General Foods brands.
Clinton E. Owens, chairman and co-owner of TreeSweet Products, a Santa Ana-based citrus juice manufacturer, said the purchase of the Orange Plus and Awake breakfast drink brands from General Foods for $20 million will give TreeSweet its first national market. The acquisition, expected to close by April 2, will add $30 million to TreeSweet’s annual revenue, which was about $100 million last year, Owens said.
