HBO has gained access to 4,700 MGM/UA films.
The non-exclusive film licensing agreement between Home Box Office and MGM/UA Home Entertainment Group--which is effective immediately--gives HBO and its sister service, Cinemax, the right to select 800 films from MGM/UA’s film library, the largest in the world.
