Santa Monica
A pilot program to assist Santa Monica College students in transferring to California State University, Northridge, will begin in September, according to Darroch F. Young, administrative dean of instruction at Santa Monica College.
Students participating in the program will receive counseling, help with admissions requirements and financial aid. Library privileges at Northridge and passes to selected athletic and cultural events will also be made available.
“We are delighted with the cooperation CSUN has given us on this project,” Young said. “The increased communication and contact between Santa Monica College and the university, the interchanges between faculty and the assistance to transfer students will pay dividends to all participants.”
