Local News in Brief : Hearing on Van Nuys Airport Issues Set
The Los Angeles City Council’s Industry and Economic Development Committee will hold a public hearing on Van Nuys Airport issues Tuesday night in Van Nuys.
The three members of the committee, including mayoral candidate John Ferarro, will hear public comment on noise, night operations, aircraft weight limits, the future of the Air National Guard site if the Guard carries out plans to move, and other airport-related issues.
The other members of the committee are council members Joan Milke Flores and Gilbert Lindsay.
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. at Fulton Junior High School on Kester Avenue at Saticoy Street.
