A 13-year-old Oceanside boy died Saturday night at Children’s Hospital about four hours after he was struck by a car while riding his bicycle near his home on Canyon Drive, a hospital spokesman said. Richard Beachler was taken to Tri-City Hospital with serious head injuries about 4:40 p.m. before being transferred by Life Flight to Children’s Hospital where he died about 8:30 p.m. The driver of the car was not charged.
