Actor Scott Brady Dies at 60
Scott Brady, the ruggedly handsome tough guy who appeared in dozens of Hollywood Westerns at the height of that film genre’s popularity, is dead at age 60, it was learned today. He died Tuesday of respiratory complications at the Motion Picture and Television Hospital in Woodland Hills.
Born Gerald Tierney in Brooklyn, the younger brother of actor Lawrence Tierney, Brady was a lumberjack and Navy boxing champion who was discovered in a Beverly Hills drama school. His films included “He Walked by Night,” “Johnny Guitar,” “The Restless Breed” and “Cain’s Way.”
