Ragan T. Phillips has been named president of Fluor Engineers Inc.’s power group. Fluor Engineers is a subsidiary of the Fluor Corp., an Irvine engineering, construction and natural resources management company.
Phillips previously served as general manager of Fluor’s venture group and prior to that was general manager of Fluor Engineers’ Western power division. “Utility power plants and industrial co-generation will be vital to the growth of the U.S. economy in the decade ahead,” said Dean Allen, chairman of Fluor’s engineering and construction group, in a statement. “We are working now in areas such as coal gasification, fast-track construction, and plant modification and maintenance, to support our strength in traditional nuclear and fossil plants.”
Phillips, who has 18 years of commercial power experience, holds degrees from the U.S. Naval Academy, Purdue University and has a master’s in business administration from Lynchburg College.
Mike DeSilva will replace Phillips as general manager of the Fluor venture group.
James E. (Jack) Moore has joined Eldorado Bank of Tustin in the new position of senior vice president and sales administrator. He he will supervise sales and business development and assist branch managers in developing new business for the bank. Moore has more than 18 years of banking experience and formerly was senior vice president of Valencia Bank. He also served as vice president and sales manager of Lloyds Bank of California.
