Zone Change OKd on 230-Acre Park for Light Industry
DIAMOND BAR — A zoning change to allow a 230-acre light industrial park in Diamond Bar was approved unanimously Thursday by the county Board of Supervisors. The development, a project of Arciero & Sons Inc. of Anaheim, will include a mix of commercial and light industrial firms on land previously zoned for single-family residences, light agriculture and neighborhood businesses.
The parcel is south of Golden Springs Drive on the east side of the Orange (57) Freeway. Under the plan, about one-third of the land would be left for open space.
Supervisor Pete Schabarum, who made the motion to approve the zoning change, called it a “high-class business center” that will bring new businesses to the community.
