Supervisors OK Dial-a-Ride Again
County supervisors have awarded contracts to continue dial-a-ride transit service for the disabled and persons 60 and older in unincorporated areas of the San Gabriel Valley for another year. Yellow Cab Co. of San Gabriel Valley, based in El Monte, will receive $104,280 to serve Hacienda Heights, Rowland Heights, Bassett, Avocado Heights and Diamond Bar, and $84,360 to serve unincorporated sections adjoining Arcadia, Monrovia, El Monte and Whittier and the communities of South San Gabriel and Whittier Narrows.
