A speeding motorcyclist was killed in North Hollywood when he crashed into a cement pillar of the Hollywood Freeway near Hortense Street, police said Sunday.
The 20-year-old man, who was not identified, was traveling west on Riverside Drive in North Hollywood at about 10:50 p.m. Saturday at a speed of about 80 miles per hour in a 30 m.p.h. zone, police said. Police said he lost control of his motorcycle while rounding a curve.
“The guy fell down and hit the divider,” Sgt. Curt Fesler said. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
