U.S. Factory Use Declines

WASHINGTON — U.S. industry’s use of factory capacity slipped again in May, to 80.3%, and revised figures show there has been no growth since last July, Federal Reserve economists said today. The 0.4 percentage-point drop from April is part of 10 months of leveling off for industry, unable to move ahead because of fierce import competition.
