Ermolenko Adds to His Speedway Lead
Sam Ermolenko of Cypress, the current points leader on the Southern California circuit, increased his total by winning the scratch main event Friday at the weekly motorcycle racing program at Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa.
Ermolenko, racing in front of 6,902, edged Allan Christian of Huntington Beach and Keith Chriso of Whittier.
Mark Dwyer of Riverside won the handicap main event by defeating Gene Woods of Costa Mesa and Brad Oxley of San Clemente.
Shane Hawley of Garden Grove won the second division main event. Gary Hicks won the third division main event.
