Other Voices Heard on Lakers
Why was it billed as the “world championship” as opposed to the NBA championship? As far as I have been able to determine, the Lakers have not played, much less defeated, the championship teams of Europe, South America, Asia, etc. It makes about as much sense as calling the major league baseball championship series the “World Series.”
