Sheriff’s deputies arrested an AirCal flight operations supervisor at John Wayne Orange County Airport after he allegedly phoned in five bomb threats to the airline while on duty at the airport. No bomb was found. Alvaro Enrique Pacheco of Laguna Beach was arrested at the airport terminal on felony charges of making a bomb threat, Sheriff’s Department Lt. Wyatt Hart said. An AirCal spokeswoman confirmed that Pacheco, 28, is a five-year veteran of the airline. She declined further comment until the investigation is completed. Hart said investigators were able to locate the suspect after implementing a special “bomb incident procedure,” but he would not elaborate. Pacheco was being held in the Orange County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
