2 Norwalk Men Hurt in Collision
A collision on Coast Highway in South Laguna Sunday afternoon resulted in severe injuries for two Norwalk residents.
California Highway Patrol officers said Dartton Drogin, 22, of Loudonville, N.Y., was attempting to make a left turn off Coast Highway near Vista del Sol when his vehicle collided with one being driven north by Brian Gonzales, 27, of Norwalk. The impact caused Gonzales’ Porsche to spin out of control and hit a brick wall. Gonzales suffered a fractured arm and a severe concussion while a passenger in his car, Gary Zsupnik, 28, also of Norwalk, sustained chest injuries. Both were admitted to the intensive care unit at Mission Community Hospital where Gonzales was listed in serious condition and Zsupnik in fair condition Monday.
Drogin suffered minor injuries and did not require hospitalization. No citations have been issued in the incident, but the investigation is continuing, CHP officers said.
