‘The $5-Million Fiasco’
This is in response to your editorial. We can all agree with many of the points you make--especially about the need for fully qualified, independent trustees, who will set policy for the district administration, rather than rubber-stamping administration recommendations, and who are not on the board just as a stepping-stone to higher office.
However, perhaps it is right to stress, as your editorial pointed out in passing, but maybe without sufficient emphasis, that whatever other changes in district operations may be desirable, the restoration of full funding levels is a top priority.
